New office expansion for its Paris Headquarters enables Meteo Protect to accommodate its accelerated market growth as the leading provider of weather risk solutions
Meteo Protect, the leading provider of weather risk management solutions, recently opened its new corporate headquarters in Paris. The move was necessary to accommodate its rapid growth across Europe and Latin America, and to facilitate its market expansion in the next two business quarters to North America.
The new headquarters doubles the office footprint, providing significant more meeting space and dedicated working spaces for its skilled team specialists, including highly experienced financial product specialists, weather and data scientists engineers, risk analysts, actuaries and sales experts, and supporting the company’s growth strategy. Meteo Protect’s impending major re-release of its flagship product, Vivaldi for Insurers, an underwriting and pricing platform which allows insurance companies to provide weather risk financial solutions to their clients, has accelerated the company’s growth and resource requirements.
In addition, Meteo Protect currently works with eight of the fifteen largest energy companies worldwide in helping them to reduce or even eliminate their exposure to volumetric and price risks, currently working with energy clients in nine countries across North America, Europe and Asia, and poised to work with energy teams in South America. France’s largest grain cooperative, Axereal, uses Meteo Protect’s underwriting and pricing platform to provide insurance to its 16,000 members, as do the 22,000 olive growers belonging to the association Asaja in the Jaen region of Spain. Meteo Protect has also developed a dedicated index for French wine cooperatives.
“The decision to expand our Headquarters was a logical step in our business growth strategy,” said Gabriel Gross, CEO of Meteo Protect. “Meteo Protect is currently expanding through Europe, the Americas and Asia, and as we are opening further branch offices to provide dedicated regional sales staff our research and development lab will remain in Paris, where it is centrally located to meet all regional needs. Importantly, with our pricing and underwriting platform for insurers ready for re-release, we have strong international distribution partnerships with leading risk takers, financial institutions and agricultural cooperatives.”
The move comes on the heels of Meteo Protect being recognized for a number of awards, including Best Broker for Weather Risks in Europe in the 2016 Environmental Finance Market Rankings, winner of the 2016 Innovation in Action Award presented by Strategy Meets Action, and recognized in the Constellation SuperNova Awards for disruptive technology leadership.
